SPLITTER POE - WHAT ARE THEY FOR?
The PoE splitters divide the PoE signal into a network signal and a DC power supply. The splitter input is fully compatible with the IEEE802.3af / at standard and ends with the 12V DC 1A power supply. The network signal is compatible with IEEE802.3u 10Base-T / 100Base-TX. The PoE splitter can work with a PSE (PoE switch) to provide network and DC power to network devices that do not support PoE (like some IP cameras). The PoE splitter is widely used in video surveillance and network engineers.

funziona anche al contrario, da una telecamera poe a switch normale più alimentatore

lo splitter rende una normale camera IP alimentabile tramite uno switch Poe utilizzando il solo cavo di rete e nient'altro.
